What is Lentil Flour?
Lentil flour is raw lentil which has been smoothed, usually made as a substitute for wheat flour, and it also has a delicious and healthy taste for consumption. If you add kedalma food, it gives a slightly spicy taste, and is usually present in Asian recipes.
Although many lentils are sold in the market, the price may be higher compared to other flour. In addition, to get flour is rather difficult, compared to whole lentils. But don’t worry because we will share how to grind the lentils themselves. You can do it yourself from home using a food processor, can also use a spice grinder or coffee grinder.
Here are step by step in making your own lentil flour from home.
First:
Enter the lentils into a colander, and rinse thoroughly with running water. Damaged or discolored lentils, as well as debris.
Second:
Then, place a paper towel or clean tea towel on the baking sheet, and spread the rinsed lentils on it. Press the extra paper towel over it so that the water dries and is absorbed by the paper towel.
Third:
Next, place the lentils in a dry place in the sun until the lentils are completely dry.
Fourth:
Now take the lentils and move into a dry pan, it’s time to bake on medium heat. During the roasting process, stir continuously so that it does not burn. If it’s been around 5-10 minutes, remove the pan from the heat and let the lentils cool.
Fifth:
Transfer the grilled lentils to a food processor or coffee processor, grind the lentils until smooth or powdered. If necessary, you can process lentils and batches.

After the lentils have been sipped, sift the flour with a sieve into a container or pan. Remove any rough and too large lentils, and if you get too many rough lentils, you can repeat the grinding process for the rough lentils.
