Inexpensive and beautiful miniature roses that are widely sold by ornamental plant developers are Kordana roses. The pots used are inexpensive, but have been designed in such a way as to help the Kordana roses grow so they can flower. In addition, the pots used also provide security in the delivery of every purchase of rose plants. Kordana roses are actually fragrant and very attractive roses to use as decorations on the table or in the corner of the room.

Not a Single Plant

In one pot that has been provided, you usually get one plant. But by using this special pot you are not like that, what you get is not only the Kordana roses stem. But it can be several stems and you can separate them into several plants in separate pots. Planting Kordana roses in pots has been controlled by using growth inhibiting hormones, so that the growth of the rose plant can be controlled. So as long as it is planted in that pot, it will grow small and flower, it will be a very beautiful decoration, because the plant on the table is real, natural and not an artificial plant.

Growing Mini Roses Indoors

To plant mini roses or Kordana Roses indoors, you have to put them in a place that is accessible to the sun because the rose plants need high light. However, if you use peat soil, it will dry out quickly. If this happens your plants can dry out in just a few hours.

Rose plants like evenly moist soil and dislike wet soil. So, it is highly recommended to use a cachepot if you plant it in a pot in the room. Cachepot is an ornamental pot that holds a plastic pot, which is useful for isolating roots and keeping the plant from getting hot.

Watering Method

Green house is designed for continuous watering, if your soil contains a lot of peat, this type of soil will dry out quickly. But if you water it continuously it won’t mean much, because it doesn’t contain the real earth element. Peat soils are important, but don’t contain too much peat. So, continuous watering from above can make the plants no longer moist but wet. So, you better water from below. Then plant your roses in a special pot.

How to Improve Soil

Improve Soil on Kordana roses

Maintaining soil moisture is very important in growing roses, including Kordana Roses. To keep this soil moist, you have to improve its condition. Add a few crystals that can be found at the plant store, these crystals will keep the moisture in the soil so that it allows your rose plant to grow well and you do not have to water it all the time.

If you are looking for this soil moisture retaining crystal, you can try the brand. Because these crystals are sometimes referred to by different names such as superabsorber, water-absorbing crystal, hydrogel, Broadleaf P4, Moisture Mizer, Soil Moist, TerraSorb, Hydrosource, Water Crystals, Watersave, etc. If you are using a 6-inch pot, you only need one tablespoon of moisture-keeping crystals.

How to apply ground crystals: Make a few holes in the soil in the pot using a pencil or small wood, then insert some crystals into it. This will keep your soil moist.

Pest Control on the Kordana Roses

Mini rose plants such as Kordana roses are usually very resistant to disease. However, if planted indoors, roses often multiply fungal diseases. It is a gray colored substance on the leaves and eventually the leaves turn yellow. There are also plant pests in the form of aphids and rose plant mites that you must kill and pay attention to.

If you see any mold then rinse with water and dry well. Pay attention to the environment around where your potted plants are placed. For example, next to a window, clean around it and dry it well so it doesn’t become moldy.

In addition, also note that your mini roses get good air flow so the plants are fresh and not moldy.

How to Keep Them Healthy

Soil is an important factor to pay attention to if you want your miniature rose plants to stay healthy. Give your plants enough sunlight and good air. Good soil for your miniature roses is moist and not soggy. If you get damaged leaves, get rid of them immediately.

For fertilizing miniature roses or kordana roses, you can use a low release pelleted fertilizer, this is for flowering plants. You can also provide decorative plant fertilizer that has been diluted every time you water.

What to do after flowering

If your kordana rose is blooming for the first time, then move the plant into another larger pot and have more space for the roots to move. Can also keep it in a small pot but there should only be one rose plant, no multiple stems should be planted. As it grows you have to keep moving it until you plant it in a 5 gallon pot as a permanent home.

If you see this plant growing tall and weak, then cut it back and leave 3 inches above the ground. When you move into another pot, pay attention to the height of the plants to stay the same from the ground. Don’t plant the stems deeper or push the roots too deep into the soil.

How to grow Kordana Roses indoors

Kordana roses are tougher than other types of roses such as tea roses and they can grow in zones 5 to 9. If you plant them in a cooler zone, of course, they need protection from cold temperatures. The protection model can use straw mulch on the part of the stem above the ground.
