Hebe Red Edge

Hebe Red EdgeSmall mound-forming hebes tend to be hardier than larger varieties as I found out when stocking my first garden.

An easy to grow hardy shrub preferring well drained light soil that tolerate shade but Red Edge shows itself off best in full sun.

Red Edge is a popular dense shrub with neat blue or grey-green fleshy leaves with a fine edge of red which is especially noticeable in winter and light mauve or lilac flowers.

Take cuttings: June to August.

The Royal Horticultural Society has given it its prestigious Award of Garden Merit (AGM).

Height and Spread: 60cm
